Racing Roundup

By Brad Vores

Mother Nature had the final say in what was supposed to be the final weekend of racing at Hagerstown Speedway.

The 21st annual Octoberfest 350 was rained out and has been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9. Racing will begin at noon each day.

The Late Models, 410 Sprints, Big Block and Small Block Modifieds are the featured divisions for the show.

The track made an effort on Saturday and pushed the starting times back a few hours but the rain never subsided until late, forcing the cancellation.

Path Valley Speedway Park lost a Saturday night show and used a Sunday raindate with a very low car turnout for the event. See story elsewhere in the News.

Hope everyone tuned in to Penn State's thrilling win over Ohio State at the Horseshoe on Saturday night! A much-deserved week off and the three final games of the season with hopes of a 12-0 and season and trip to Miami for the National Championship! Go Lions!

We are headed to Lowe's Motor Speedway this week for the World of Outlaws World Finals and until next week, e-mail reaches me at Bvores@aol.com.
