Suffield Man Charged With Dragging Dog With Truck
SUFFIELD, Conn. (AP) - A Suffield man is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after police say he dragged his dog for 10 minutes while it was tied to his pickup truck.
Authorities say the dog has died.
Suffield police say they stopped Brian Moson on Sunday night after a report of a dog being dragged along River Boulevard.
Police say Moson was stopped about a mile from his home. Police say Moson told them he forgot he tied the 5-year-old Australian Shepherd to the back of the truck.
Moson has been charged with animal cruelty and operating under the influence.
The dog was taken to VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital in Springfield, Mass.
Moson has been released after posting bond.
