Woman Charged In Mom's Crash
MEYERSDALE, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania woman is accused of driving drunk when she crashed her car, killing her mother.
Twenty-five-year-old Heather Renee Werner, of Hyndman, was charged Friday with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and related crimes in the death of 48-year-old Susan Fleegle on Sept. 1, 2007.
State police say Werner was speeding when she lost control of her car on a curve, struck an embankment and a culvert before rolling over repeatedly.
Fleegle was ejected and passenger 36-year-old Steven Huffman was injured.
Police say Werner's blood-alcohol level was 0.115 percent, above the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
