      To the Editor, Despite the fact that the world produces enough food each year to provide a healthy diet to everyone on the planet, over 800 million people go to bed hungry each night. Church World Service uses money raised from CROP walks to fight hunger and poverty all over the world.

      To The Editor: I am writing today to express my gratitude toward Gov. Ed Rendell for not only allocating $280 million in state funding toward the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), but also for expanding the eligibility requirements so that more Pennsylvanians can take advantage of this assistance.
