We sure had a beautiful weekend for the Fulton Fall Folk Festival. It was a little cool but at least there was no storms.
There seemed to be a big crowd in the county, and the flea market at the barn on 522 was well attended.
We extend our sympathy to the family and relatives of Steve Hoover, who passed away suddenly Saturday morning.
Shawn, Jackie and Ryan Berkstresser of Slippery Rock spent a few days with Harvey and Pat Berkstresser to help with the flea market in the barn and Aaron Koons helped also along with Brook and Danny Sheeter.
We get a report the Hustontown Fire Co. had a great turnout for their meals also.
The foliage just couldn't be anymore beautiful than it is now. Doesn't the Master paint a great picture as we look at these beautiful mountains?
Congratulations to Harriet Hill of Manheim on being first-place winner and Silver Thimble award winner at the quilt show at the Folk Festival.
Clear Ridge and Center Church will be sponsoring a roast pork dinner at Clear Ridge Community building on November 8 at 4:00 p.m. The menu will be roast pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, applesauce and roll for $6.50. Also pork sandwiches, dessert and beverage. Everyone is welcome.
Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. and ladies auxiliary would like to thank everyone for their support during Fulton Fall Folk Festival and helping to make the weekend a success.
Household hint: soup for cold - chicken soup does indeed help cure a cold. It's warmth and aroma not only makes you feel good, but it also gives you more nasal drainage therefore reducing the time the germ infested mucus stays in contact with your nasal passage. Give soup a try first.
