Willis K. Heefner, 95, Hustontown, died Saturday, October 11, 2008, at his residence.

Born in Waterfall, June 21, 1913, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Martha (Berkstresser) Heefner. He was the husband of Grace I. (Shotts) Heefner, whom he married October 17, 1945.

He worked as a mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, before retiring in 1974. After retirement he continued working at Delco in Hustontown for 14 years.

He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, where he served as a trustee of the church for numerous years. He was a lifetime member of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co., and he was a director and member of Northern Fulton Burial Assoc. He loved farming, tinkering and raising beef cattle.

He is survived by his wife, Grace, at home; two daughters: Linda D. Cook, wife of David, Three Springs; Esta M. Colledge, New Enterprise, Pa., a brother, Kermit Heefner, Lancaster; and six grandchildren: Doug Shotts, Tammy Cook, Brian Shotts, Tracy Cook, Carrie DeShong and Krista Hipkiss.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ray N. Shotts; and three sisters: Eunice Park, Cora Shope and Veda Ranck.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 14, at Fairview United Methodist Church. Rev. Jay Saxe and Pastor Deborah Strait officiated. Burial was made in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., Harrisonville, was in charge of arrangements.

Military services were conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.
