Eichelberger Receives Award From NFIB

100 percent voting record on small business issues

Sen. John H. Eichelberger Jr. has received a 2007-08 'Guardian of Small Business' award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for his voting record on behalf of Pennsylvania's small-business owners.

"Pennsylvania has a reputation of being a business 'unfriendly' state and reversing that reputation is going to take a lot of work and support from both sides of the aisle. The awards, presented to some senators and representatives by the NFIB, are a sign that there is hope, but we still have a long way to go," Eichelberger said. "The business owner members of the NFIB understand how important this fight is to the economy of this state."

The senator earned a 100 percent voting record for supporting/ opposing the following bills:

Guardian of Small Business Awards are given to Senators and Representatives who voted favorably on key small-business issues at least 75 percent of the time. 54 Senators and 66 Representatives received the award in 2007-08.
