Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

It sure has been a beautiful October weekend. We just hope it lasts through all next week for the fall festival.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Willis Heefner who passed away on Saturday. He was very well liked by all.

Get well wishes to Rheon Gelvin who spent some time in Chambersburg Hospital last week.

Shawn, Jackie and Ryan Berkstresser of Slippery Rock spent the weekend with Harvey and Pat Berkstresser and his mother, Andrea. They were helping get set up at the Barn for the festival.

Glad to report Alice Walker got a good physical report this past week. We send get well wishes her way.

Our prayers also go out to Bill Henry for improvement in health.

Pastor Bill Kuhn and Joanne will start their vacation on Monday of this week. Peter Rusack will be speaker next Sunday at Knobsville United Methodist Church.

Glad to hear there was a nice attendance at the service at Dick and Ruth Knepper's on Sunday evening.

Sorry to hear Dick Knepper is having trouble with his foot. Hope it is improved soon.

Household hint: Clean steam iron. Make a solution of half white vinegar and half water. Turn iron to steam setting and holding it horizontal, operate the spray and let it steam until the liquid is gone. May need to repeat treatment for a good job.

Enjoy the festival.
