Our Town

Don't forget our Fulton Fall Folk Festival, is held this weekend. A parade will be on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. Lots of good food too all over the county.

Congratulations to Justin Leedy and Brandi Seville, who were married on Saturday, September 27, at Green Grove Gardens. The reception was held following the ceremony at the Gardens.

On Saturday, Ida Strait attended the wedding of her greatniece, Shannon Chilcote, and Dr. Daniel Hexter's on the yacht "Duchess of Pintail" at Inner Harbor, Batimore, Md. It was a beautiful evening wedding. Shannon is the daughter of Wanda and Rick Chilcote of Hustontown.

Virginia "Ginny" Garland is home after therapy in Fulton County Medical Center from breaking her hip recently from a fall in her home.

Paul and Betty Shelley attended Paul's 60th class reunion recently in Middletown. Paul and Betty celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary recently not their 34th, which was in this column a few weeks ago.

Melinda and Casey Hurst of Harrisburg recently became parents of a baby girl, Ella Jane. Proud grandparents from town are Bob and Teresa Carter.

Jean McLucas recently celebrated her 85th birthday with a gettogether at daughter Stephanie and husband Mark's. Jean's birthday was September 20.

Jeannie Hollenshead, Barb Garlock, Lisa Doyle, Sandy Mellott, Michelel Hill and Evelyn Souders visited with Jack and Judy Sherman of Wachapraque, Va., last week for a few days.

Tim and Tammy Cromer observed their 25th wedding anniversary on October 8.

Denny and Nancy Ritchey observed their 34th wedding anniversary on October 12.

The class of 1966 of Forbes Road held its 42nd reunion Saturday night at the Fort Restaurant with 25 attending.

Also attending were his parents, Jami and Darrin, his maw, Kim Sipes, and his Aunt Christina and Uncle Shawn.
