X Card Shoot X-card shoots will be held Friday nights until November 21, at 7:00 p.m., at Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club. Enter to win a New England Arms 12 gauge pump shotgun when playing X card.

Bus Trip PA R PAC is sponsoring a bus trip to Atlantic City on November 1. The bus will leave McConnellsburg Legion at 6:00 a.m. Price is $58 with $25 payback with a meal ticket. Christmas Bazaar A Christmas Bazaar will be held November 1 and 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, three miles west of Needmore. Lots of food and crafts will be available.

Bus Trip Modern Woodmen of America Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday, December 6. The bus departs McConnellsburg Courthouse at 6:00 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast (on your own) at approximately 8:30 a.m. and will arrive in New York City near Macy's at approximately 11:30 a.m. Depart the city near Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. A stop will be made halfway home for supper (on your own). Estimate arrival back in McConnellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation is $40 per person. Please send money for transportation by November 15 to Rick Claar, PO Box 624, Bedford, PA 15522.

SF Geography Club Trip Southern Fulton Area Geography Club will be travelling to England and Scotland for seven days in early June 2009. The trip is open to students and parents as well as to other community members. All students must be accompanied on the trip by a parent or guardian. Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage Saturday, October 18, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. Come and share talents and enjoy the evening.

Scrapbooking A crop session for scrapbookers will be held Sunday, November 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the basement meeting room of the Lions Club Community Building. Trap Shoots Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club will hold Friday night practice trap shoots at 7 p.m., every Friday night now until November 21, 2008.

Dale Gordon 5K Run/Walk The Dale Gordon 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, October 18, at 8:00 a.m., at the square in Needmore. First- and second place medals will be awarded in 12 age/gender categories. Cash prizes up to $300 awarded for those who get the most sponsorship. Line Dance Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7:00 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

Shooting Matches Hustontown Area Vol. Fire Co. will sponsor shooting matches beginning Saturday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. Watch for further details.

Dance "Steppin' Out With Jesus," a formal dance for adults, will be held Saturday, October 25, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in Cito United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The event is sponsored by God's Girlz of the United Methodist Church and a portion of the proceeds will go to Pee Dee Indian Christmas Mission Project.
