Painting Stolen From Hospital

A 66-year-old McConnellsburg man has been charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly walked into the acute-care waiting room of the Fulton County Medical Center and stole a painting by local artist Mark Twain Noe. Joseph Anthony Scavone walked into the hospital at 12:30 p.m., removed the painting from a waiting room wall and put it in a wheelchair before wheeling it out of the building on Monday, September 29. Scavone was arrested at his home and transported to the McConnellsburg state police barracks and was later released.
