Two Boys Killed In Pittsburgh Fire; Mother Burned
PITTSBURGH (AP) - Two young brothers are dead after they were trapped in a bedroom during an overnight fire in Pittsburgh.
The boys' mother was able to save a third child, but suffered burns over 30 percent of her body. The 29- year-old woman is being treated in the burn unit of UPMC-Mercy hospital and is expected to survive.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner says the dead boys are 10-year-old William White IV and 4- year-old Jordan White. Authorities have also not released the name of the third child.
Fire Chief Darryl Jones says authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. The home had smoke detectors, but they weren't working.
