SC Man Accused Of Buying Gun Used To Kill Officer
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arraigned in federal court in South Carolina on a charge of illegally purchasing the handgun used to kill a Philadelphia police officer this week.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says 29- year-old Jason Mack is charged with lying on an ATF form. He was released on his own recognizance Friday.
Authorities are investigating how the weapon got into the hands of 27- year-old Daniel Giddings, who shot Officer Patrick McDonald following a traffic stop on Tuesday.
