Gordon and Donna Locke and Gary and Valerie Mitchell and sister Tammy traveled to Mont Alto on Saturday evening for a gospel music event, "Singing in the Barn." The program was attended by many folks, who enjoyed an evening of good food, great music and fellowship.

Congratulations to Chris and Julie Reed Young on the birth of their daughter, Anna Kathryn, on September 26. Congratulations to grandparents, Lyle and Thelma Brown Reed, on the birth of their first granddaughter.

John and Mary Mumma and Buzz and Bea Covert enjoyed dinner out on Saturday evening in honor of John's recent birthday.

Immanuel Bible Church-sponsored blood drive in Three Springs on Thursday evening was a success with nearly 50 units of blood being collected.

Gordon and Donna Locke attended football games for Toryn, Cameron and Brayden Locke in Shippensburg this weekend.

Immanuel Bible Church annual hayride will be held at the church on October 12.

Tammy Grissinger visited with Matt, Emily and Mason Mentzer of Biglerville on Saturday. Tammy, Emily and Mason enjoyed a visit to the Boyds Bears outlet in Gettysburg.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff visited with Tim Streightiff in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.

On Saturday, Tom and Mamie Streightiff attended a 50th wedding anniversary celebration in honor of Gene and Nancy Cornelius of Saltillo.

Visitors in the home of Steve and Karen Grissinger this week were Travis Madden, Brent Carlson, Bob and Alicia Albrecht and Amanda Yocum.

Southern Huntingdon Class of 1983 will be having a 25th class reunion. The reunion is tentatively scheduled for the first Saturday in November at Juniata College. If interested in attending, please contact Nin Hiles Jr. with any questions or concerns.

The Ridge Runners Relay For Life team will be sponsoring a basket bingo at Shade Gap Auxiliary Building on Sunday, October 26. Doors will open at 1 p.m. The bingo games start at 2 p.m., with refreshments and bake sale items for sale.
