Kendall Funk & Bismark Jewelers Expand Their Business
Kendall Funk & Bismark Jewelers of 31 South Main Street, Chambersburg, Pa., now provides "Local Currency Office" services as an adjunct to their well known jewelry business. KFB Jewelers sees it as a logical response to increased merchant interest in Chambersburg Liberty Dollars, the silver-based private voluntary barter currency introduced into the area last year.
In addition to continuing to provide the general public with new 2008 Chambersburg Silver Liberty Dollars, KFB Jewelers is now in a position to provide area merchants with this "community currency" at a special "merchant discount" price. Currently, there are nearly 100 merchants and professionals in southcentral Pennsylvania who use and/or accept Liberty Dollars.
Available denominations of 5, 10, 20, and 50 are all on display at KFB Jeweler's South Main Street address. KFB is quick to point out, however, that their main business is jewelry, and that they will continue to create unique handmade jewelry in karat gold and sterling silver as they've done since l973.
