Olive E. Stevens

Saxton, 86

Olive E. (Fessler) Stevens, 86, Saxton, formerly of Coalmont, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon.

Born April 28, 1922, in North Point, Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Amanda (Black) Fessler. She was united in marraige to Stanley E. Stevens October 25, 1941, in Cumberland, Md. He preceded her in death July 16, 1996.

She is survived by six siblings: Cleoma Stoner, Todd; Dorothy Flanders, Venice, Fla.; Fae Montreal and husband Gabe, Schellsburg; Jean Fessler and Harry Fessler, both of Dudley; and Ray Fessler and wife Bertha, Waterfall.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and a brother and sister, Wilmer Fessler and Harriet Morningstar.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She belonged to the Coalmont Homemakers and enjoyed helping out at the Thrift Shop in Saxton.

She was a homemaker and had also worked at the Martinsburg Shoe Factory.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, at Akers Funeral Chapel, Saxton. Pastor Patty Wise officiated. Burial was made in Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run.
