Anniversary wishes to Tom and Carolyn Henry, Chris and Julie Young, and William and Jen Greenland.

Get well wishes to Dick Rhoades, Helen Stake and Donnie Brown. Get well wishes also to Clay Cantrell, who is recovering from a brown recluse spider bite.

Buzz and Bea Covert attended the 50th class reunion of the Saltillo Class of 1958 on Sunday afternoon at Lane's Lodge near Cassville.

Bobby Madden and friend Jean of Pittsburgh visited with Buzz and Bea Covert over the weekend. The group enjoyed dining out with Tasha, Shaine and Kean Goshorn on Saturday evening at Sunny Ridge Restaurant.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended a picnic at Sideling Hill State Park on Sunday afternoon. It was a cruise-in organized by Terry and Trudy Fix, with approximately 15 classic and antique vehicles on display. The group enjoyed a beautiful, early fall day for a picnic at Sideling Hill.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended the tractor show at Two Top near Mercersburg on Saturday afternoon.

Hustontown Fire Co. will be hosting an open stage event on Saturday evening, September 27, beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Anyone is welcome to come and share their talent or enjoy the talents of others.

Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger visited with Gale Culter of Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend. On the way to Columbus they stopped by the Cabela's in Wheeling, W.Va., and the Longaberger Basket Factory in Dresden, Ohio. Aunt Gale had been without electric for seven days because of high winds caused by Hurricane Ike, so she was happy to see it come back on by Saturday afternoon.

Visitors in the home of Steve and Karen Grissinger this week were Travis Madden, Tim and Shirley Henry, Brent Carlson and Nora Grissinger.

Penny and Becky Richards are the owners of a new puppy to spoil.

Southern Huntingdon Class of 1983 will be having a 25th class reunion. Formal invitations are forthcoming. The reunion is tentatively scheduled for the first Saturday in November at Juniata College. If interested in attending, please contact Nin Hiles Jr. with any questions or concerns.

The Ridge Runners Relay for Life team will be sponsoring a basket bingo at Shade Gap Auxiliary Building on Sunday, October 26. Doors will open at 1 p.m. The games start at 2 p.m., with refreshments and baked goods for sale.
