Cloverbud Club Forming A new 4-H club just for Cloverbuds will be forming this fall. The 4-H Cloverbud program is specifically designed for youth between the ages of five and eight. Members of this club will not carry traditional projects like their older 4-H counterparts, but rather meet monthly to learn about themselves and the world around them, to promote positive attitudes about learning and to develop a caring relationship with an older youth helper or adult. To be eligible to join the Southern Fulton Cloverbuds Club, youth must turn five years old before January 1, 2009 and not turn eight years old before this date. Membership fees (to cover curriculum costs) are $10 per year; however, financial aid scholarships are available. Leaders are also being recruited to assist with this new program. There are several types of leader positions available: an organizational leader who will manage the club; several project leaders who will assist with specific projects; several activity leaders who will assist with activities throughout the year; and teen leaders (must be over age 12) who will assist the adult leaders and Cloverbuds. The Southern Fulton Cloverbuds Club will meet monthly in the southern region of Fulton County. A specific meeting place has not yet been designated and will be determined by the total number of new club members.
