Betty G. Barnett, 80, Marietta, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at home.

She was the wife of the late Gerald P. Barnett, who passed away on July 3, 2006.

She was born in Clear Ridge, daughter of the late Emory V. and Mary Woods McQuait.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially spending time with her family.

Born March 13, 1949, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Carl E. Sr. and Thelma Geraldine Clingerman Wertman, and wife of Talmadge Oakley “Sarge” Stewart, who she married on April 5, 1970, at Hancock Church of the Nazarene.

She was born in Saluvia, Pa., March 23, 1919, the daughter of the late Sherman J. and Gilva Maye (Ensley) DeShong. She was the widow of Veryl M. Spade whom she had been married to for 66 years.
